This is an extension of a previous ride to include the poignant memorial that is the Stairway to Heaven.
It is quite a long ride but it is a flat route on mainly traffic free or quiet roads, with the exception of a couple of potentially busy roads and junctions in Bethnal Green and on our return.
We will follow the Waterlink Way to Greenwich with the intention of walking through the foot tunnel to the Isle of Dogs. We will ride along the Thames path as far as Narrow Street when we will turn off through Limehouse basin picking up the Regent's canal and then quiet streets to Bethnal Green and the Stairway to Heaven.

Bring a snack/drink anyway in case the café is busy. (Card payment only)
We will return by shimmying through more back streets, crossing the busy Commercial Road and then continuing along the C3, which is a segregated cycle route, as far as London bridge. from there it is a familar route along the C4, through Southwark park and picking up the C10 back to Deptford, then the Waterlink way back to Cator Park.
If time is tight we can return via Greenwich.
If the foot tunnel lifts are out of order, we will take the DLR across the river so please bring oyster card/contactless/freedom pass.
Please call the leader, Jacqui Turner on 07456840924, if you have booked but there are problems on the day.
