Breeze up to High Bradfield and beyond

If you want to stretch your climbing legs and get great views from the moors and over the reservoirs, this is the ride for you. The ride starts with a steady climb up Loxley Road before passing the Nag's Head and to the right of Damflask Reservoir. We then climb steadily upwards until we reach High Bradfield where there is a brief dip before a further climb up on to the moors. There is then a short descent before we reach a cross roads, where you have the option of either turning left and riding down a long, winding lane past Agden Reservoir to Low Bradfield or continuing straight on and doing a longer loop and a few more hills. With several Breeze Champions leading the ride, we can split the group so you can choose the option that suits you best, with no pressure to go further than you want to. Whichever option you choose, we'll all meet up at the Flask End cafe in Low Bradfield for coffee and cake before riding a few relatively flat, easy miles back to the start.
Although there is quite lot of climbing in this ride and a few challenging hills, we’ll take it steady and stop for breathers whenever we need to. If you need to walk up any of the steeper bits, that is fine – we won’t leave anyone behind.
