- We will cycle over the top of the M40 on a path, then skirt around Burnham Beeches, to Dorney, Boveney, Eton and on to the Cinnamon Café in Windsor which is popular with cyclists, via this route
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33822902 and come back via Eton Wick, Boveney, Burnham Beeches, Farnham Common, Hedgerley, via this route
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41145570 - This is not a flat ride but we will take the hills at our own pace and regroup at the top. Nobody will get left behind.
- If you are driving, there is free parking near where we start and all down Windsor End. Or you can bring your bike by tube then train. You can come on the Chiltern Railways from places like West Ruislip (Train leaving at 9:35 arrives 9:49am). Then it is a 5-10 min cycle to the start, straight along Station Road.
- You can take your bike on Chiltern Rail nearly any time of day – see
https://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/customer-service/travelling-your-bike- Please bring a pump, water, credit card, and at least 1 spare inner tube. I would prefer you to wear a helmet for your safety.
- The public toilets at Windsor End are open (near the Register Office).
- Please check your bike thoroughly before you come. Check your brakes are working well, your gears are smooth and your tyres are in good condition and pumped up – you can use this video.
