The route takes us around the flat quiet lanes of South Ribble passing through small villages and includes short loop of the South Ribble Mosses. We start off from the Avenham pavilion and almost immediately cross the River Ribble to head up to leigh brow where we join quiet roads through Lostock hall and onto White stakes. We head through Croston and pick up some quiet lanes to Sollom and onto Mere Brow. Here we cross over to head to Tarleton and a coffee stop at the Chocolate Rooms. After coffee we go back to green lane and pick up the cycle paths adjacent to Southport road. We head towards Much Hoole and finally Hutton where we continue on cycle paths to Penwortham and back to the pavilion in Avenham park. This is a great flat route were you can get your legs spinning but can provide a challenge on a blustery day.
We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour.

This is a steady ride on flat roads aimed at women who are confident on a bike and want to extend the length of their ride.

This is a circular route around the quiet lanes of south Ribble passing through small Hamlets and stopping halfway for coffee. All bikes are suitable for this terrain but must be in a road worthy condition.

Our coffee stop will be at The Chocolate Rooms where we can enjoy well earned cake .

Please bring some water and a snack and some money if you wish to purchase food and/or drink at the coffee stop. Be prepared for cold/warm/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair

This is a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
