This is an easy route departing from the back of Cappuccino Cafe at The Hub. From there we will use shared cycle facilities all the way to Astley Park. At Astley Park there will be time for refreshments, and a break before we return along the same route. Once back in Buckshaw Village we will take a small loop under Central Avenue to pop up on the other side of the road, complete a loop in the middle of the village and then return to The Hub.

Buckshaw Hub and Astley Park ride has been designed specifically with younger and novice riders in mind. It is reasonably short and flat with the option of a play park and café facilities in Astley Park.

We will largely be riding on shared use cycle facilities, away from roads. This make it very suitable for the younger rider.

The midpoint of the rider is at Astley Park which has a café, toilet facilities, a play park, and woodland trails.

We always advise helmets, a spare inner tube for you bike, and mudguards if the weather is a bit wet. Bring snacks and drinks. All young riders must be accompanied by a riding adult.
