Apart from traversing the park at Hogganfield Loch, we follow mainly roads to Bishopbriggs where we stop at the Cadder Parish Church Coffee Shop in Bishopbriggs for coffee and cake. We follow the canal to Stockingfield Bridge and on to Sighthill where we cross the M8 and head into Glasgow. From there we follow roads and cycle paths to return to Burnside.
The route may change if the group wants an alternative return to Burnside.
Please be aware that we aim for an average speed on the move of 10 – 11 mph. This is not the route for you if you are looking for a fast road ride.

This is a leisure ride with café stop. We ride at 10-11 mph.

A mixture of main roads / quiet roads / roads with cycle lanes and cycle paths.

This is Scotland and as we all know, the weather can be ‘variable’. Please check the forecast before leaving and come prepared. If the weather looks to be really terrible, the ride is likely to be cancelled.

First-timers welcome but please check the anticipated cycle speed.
