I describe this as a leisure ride. It makes use of the A77 cycle path but there are significant but mainly quiet road sections. It takes us out to Mearnskirk, going through Thorntonhall and Waterfoot, and on to the A77 cycle path which we follow to Fenwick. We then head back to Eaglesham over the Moor Road, and return to Cambuslang through Carmunnock. The average speed on the move will be about 10 mph. You can view the route here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51161600

The roads are mainly quiet minor roads with 10 miles on the A77 cycle path.

The ride heads out to Fenwick where we will stop at the café which has toilets. There is the opportunity to stop off at the Whitelee Visitor Centre as well if necessary. If anyone sees something they'd like to stop and look at, we'll stop.

This is Scotland and as we all know, the weather can be ‘variable’. Please check the forecast before leaving and come prepared. It looks as if sun tan lotion may be necessary.

First-timers are welcome but please check the anticipated cycle speed.
