Starting point

Glamorgan

A lovely ride using quiet roads and cycle paths, across the barrage, up over the wiggles and around Penarth, down to the pier where we can stop for a photo. After a gentle climb back up into the residential areas of Penarth, we cross the town to get to the top of Cosmeston Lakes, and follow the lovely smooth path down through the centre.

We cross the main road and take St Mary's Well Bay Road down to the Captain's Wife in Sully where we can make a quick stop for refreshments. From there we take the same way back to the main road but then follow the old railway line cycle path back into Penarth. We will stop off at Penarth Head Park, to see the views over the water before descending the wiggles and re-crossing the barrage back to the start point.

There are some hilly sections on this ride but all on traffic free paths or wide or quiet roads. These sections can be walked if needed, but we will stick together.

Lovely social ride, everyone is welcome :)
