As it is Bike Week 2021, we will start from outside the Cyling UK pop up shop 2/4 Morgan Arcade, CF10 1AF, fronting onto St Mary Street (was Oxfam shop). We'll leave at 10.30, but please arrive 10 minutes before to check in with me, earlier if you want to take a chance to have a look in the shop.
The pop up shop will be "creating a cycling hub full of information about what we and others are doing to get people on their bikes. We will be open from Tuesday 1 June to Friday 4 June and you will be able to find out more about Cycling UK's activities in Wales, collect children's Bike Week activity packs, pick up the odd freebie as well as getting your bike checked for free".
For more information see
https://www.cyclinguk.org/article/bike-week-cardiff-and-beyondThis is an enjoyable easy traffic free ride on dedicated cycle paths and shared paths, suitable for all bikes including nextbikes and electric bikes.
We will stop at intervals along the way, so there is a chance to take photos, and we can chat and take in the scenery.
We will take a scenic route taking in Cardiff Castle, Bute Park and the River Taff, returning via Sophia Gardens to finish back at Cardiff Castle.
We then have the option to sit a while in the Public Square area in Cardiff Castle grounds. Free entry, refreshments available from The Keep Terrace kitchen, or you're welcome to bring your own. Toilets also available.
