A hilly route, largely on roads including some quiet country lanes but also fast rural A- and B-roads.
Starting from Singleton, the route follows the Clyne Valley path to Dunvant, then climds uphill to Three Crosses. The next section follows Cilonnen Road across Welsh Moor, which is scenic but also rough in parts (potholes and some loose grit). Next up is the longest climb, Cefn-Bryn from the North side, then the route follows the South Gower Road through one more climb at Parkmill then on to Swansea.
We never leave anyone behind: the length of the route (40 km) and the several steep hills (around 500 m ascent) means that the route is suitable only for regular riders with helmets and bikes in good working order, but we will take our time, stay together, and ride a comfortable pace for everyone.
A nice route because once you know it, you have a lot of options to extend to Llanmadoc, Rhossili, Port Einon, Oxwich Bay, and so on. It also takes in a number of the roads used by the 2018 Gower Bike Ride
