Route rating
(0) ReviewsIts 3 parks and mostly off road. Starting at the Visitor centre car park in Clumber Park at 08.30. Head through Clumber and across to Sherwood Forest, swing by the Major Oak, then head down to Sherwood Pines to discover a trail or two, then head out via Centre Parks and over to Rufford Park.
Mainly dirt trails, I'm expecting it to be muddy and boggy in places. There are some hard trails too and a bit of rural lanes to ride but its mainly traffic free.
We're planning to stop at the Cafe in Sherwood Pines, and at the Clumber visitor centre cafe at the end of the ride. If we spot any other venue and we fancy a stop we will do so.
Always wear a helmet and suitable clothing for the weather conditions. Please ensure you have a spare inner tube to suit your wheel size and carry a puncture repair kit along with some means of re inflating your tyre. You’ll need to bring a means of payment for the café stops or bring your own drink and snack with you.
If this is your first time of riding with us please be assured you’ll be very welcome and we’ll be happy to have you join us. You’ll need to be used to riding uneven and mixed surfaces across country on tracks paths & trails, and you should not be afraid of getting a bit muddy or bothered about a bit of overgrown vegetation. We aim to make our rides fun, we like to explore off road routes and we always muck in if anyone needs any help or repairs etc. No need to be nervous, we don’t bite and we’ll do our best to make you feel part of the ride group
