Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of us all:

* If you, or anyone in your household, or contacts have had any symptoms of Covid-19, ie cold symptoms, sore throat, new persistant cough, or fever or loss of taste or smell, in the last 10 days, or if you feel unwell in any other way, then please do not sign up.

* When inside, practice social distancing where possible, and consider using a face mask if there is reduced ventilation.

* Bring your own hand gel/wipes, drink and snack and face covering. Also money/card if you wish to buy refreshments. Cycle helmets are advised.

If you have any questions, please either 'message ride creator' through Lets Ride, or post it on the ride conversation tab.

This is a very pleasant scenic ride along the River Taff and out to Cosmeston Lakes Country Park via Cogan and Sully Road lane, returning through Penarth.

We will be cycling on a mixture of traffic free shared cycle paths, quiet roads and country lanes. There are a few short hills, you should be confident with using your gears and cycling in narrow lanes. It is tarmac for most of the way, there is a short section of grit in Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, suitable for all bikes.
We will cycle down the Taff Trail to Penarth Marina, and over the Millenium Bridge, past Cogan station and up a gentle hill and connecting to the quiet country lane to the back of Cosmeston Lakes.
We'll have a stop there (approx 30 min) for 'bring your own' refreshments (drink/snack) outside, or purchase from the cafe. Toilets are available. Then we'll set off to join the cycle path along the old railway line back to Penarth and the Cardiff Bay Wetlands, returning up the Taff trail to the start. See the route here
