This ride takes us to the start of the lovely Sankey Valley Trail, which is part of the Trans Pennine Trail. The Sankey Valley offers superbly smooth cycle paths along the canal which is full of interesting wild life. After cycling the full full length of the trail we will stop to admire the wonderful views at Carr Mill Dam. We then head back along the East Lancs Cycle Path, though St Helens lovely Taylor Park finally returning back through Rainhill. The majority of this route is off road and we will be riding at a leisurely pace of approx 10mph
