We leave Kelso heading for Stitchill and Hume. We go uphill towards Hume turning right halfway up towards Old Greenlaw and will take in some fantastic views at the top of the hill. From here we head down onto Marchmont Estate where we’ll stop to view the House although we won’t have an opportunity to visit on this occasion. On our return via Greenlaw we pass Hume and then down the hill at Stitchill back to Kelso. It’s a hilly route but remember we don’t leave anyone behind. This route is classed as challenging due to some nice wee climbs. Climbing of approximately 1600 feet on this ride.

A undulating pedal into the Berwickshire countryside

Mainly quiet country roads with some cycling on slightly busier main roads.

Stops along the way and at Greenlaw for a cuppa if cafe is open.

Helmets essential. Please dress for the western and bring enough snacks and water for the ride. Please bring spare inner tubes and tools for your bike. If you’re riding an e-bike make sure it’s fully charged as it’s not a flat cycle.

We never leave anyone behind
