Join Steph and Ann for a picturesque Breeze ride starting from Stagsden, where we’ll head south toward Bromham, enjoying peaceful countryside views as we follow the River Ouse into central Bedford.

This route offers a mix of cycle paths and some off-road trail sections along the river, but it’s a relatively easy and flat ride, suitable for most riders. It’s also very pretty, especially as we follow the riverbank and enjoy the lovely views along Bedford’s Embankment.

From Bedford, we’ll join the National Cycle Network Route 51, a scenic, mostly traffic-free path that takes us out to one of our favourite destinations – the Danish Camp at Willington. It’s a great place for a relaxing stop, with indoor and outdoor seating available.

If the Danish Camp is busy when we arrive, we’ll head instead to the Priory Marina Café in Bedford, another lovely alternative with a welcoming atmosphere.

On the way back, we’ll retrace part of our route and then take the off-road bridleway from Bromham back to Stagsden, adding a gentle bit of adventure through quieter trails.

Whether you're coming for the views, the company, or the café stop – this ride has something for everyone. We’d love for you to join us!

Join Steph and Ann for a lovely 26-mile out-and-back ride along a scenic and mostly flat route, perfect for a relaxed and sociable outing.

Type of Roads: We’ll be cycling on a combination of quiet village roads, dedicated cycle paths, and off-road river trails. We’ll also join the National Cycle Network Route 51, which is mostly flat and traffic-free, ideal for a relaxed group ride.
