We will cycle up St Andrews Road & through Wenvoe village then up through the lanes where we pop out in Ely & up to the Michaelston shops. From there we follow the Drope via quiet lanes up to the A48 where we have a very short road section before we turn left down to Dyffryn gardens for a lovely cafe stop. After this we will continue on quiet lanes back through Wenvoe village & back down St Andrews lane to the start point. There are a few sharp hills on this route especially up to the A48 but it is fine to get off & walk if you need to so please don’t let this put you off joining us.

This is a lovely route with a few hilly challenges, mostly on quiet roads with a few busier sections. The hills are all on quieter roads so we are very happy to wait if you need to take it slow or walk up them!

This is a mix of lanes, some very quiet, some a bit busier. There is also a short section on the A48 and a few bits of off road cycle path.

We'll stop at Dyffryn gardens at the National Trust Cafe for coffee/lunch. There are benches outside as well if anyone just wants to bring their own food. And of course there are toilets!

Helmets, money/card for tea rooms, clothing appropriate for the weather. A lock is useful but not essential as the bikes can be left in sight (just more reassuring if they are locked!), a spare inner tube/puncture repair kit is also useful.

We never leave anyone behind
