Easy ride to Cardiff Bay from Sophia Gardens, Let's Ride through Winter 2023!

We'll access the Taff Trail from Sophia Gardens then cycle down the trail to ride around Cardiff Bay either via Penarth Marina and the barrage cycle path 8 miles in total, or via Hamadryad Park and the Wetlands 6 miles total, to be decided depending on weather and participants. It's on then to Mermaid Quay, returning via the Taff trail again to the start.
This ride is mainly traffic free, we will be cycling on a mixture of shared cycle paths, and quiet roads. We may need to dismount and walk as we pass though Mermaid Quay. Suitable for all cycles including nextbikes and electric cycles.
We'll have brief stops along the way for optional photos, and toilets are available in Mermaid Quay if needed.
Please wear a cycle helmet, and bring a spare inner tube if you have one. Also some money/card if you want to buy refreshments
We'll stop for a short break in the Bay, bring money to get refreshments from a cafe, or bring your own.
