This is a family friendly ride down the pleasant river Ancholme towpath in Brigg, spotting wildlife as we go. Meeting at 10am in Lidl carpark, Atherton Way, Brigg, DN20 8AR before hopping onto the towpath which is nice and easy to ride along being flat, straight and made of a fine gravel surface. There are just a couple of small ups and downs as we ride past various bridges over the river. The ride is listed as 7 miles long which will bring us to the railway line crossing near Keb Wood Lane, but we can easily shorten or lengthen this on the day as required. Pace will be a mellow yellow 7-9 mpg average (no one will be left behind) followed by a stop at the courtyard café at the end for social and refreshments. Under 18’s will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the ride. Please make sure your bike is in good working order with effective brakes and bring a spare inner tube, pump, puncture repair kit, helmet and appropriate clothing along with money for the café. Please let the ride leader know of any medical issues which may affect you on the ride.
