from the the start of the ride on the side of the rochdale canal we head up a quite road and onto a cycle path at the side of an extremely busy road that we need to cross, after crossing the main road we again head onto cycle paths to elk mill and then onto road this road can get busy at times passing the oldham football ground and towards Royton, from this point on this is mainly road cycling all the way to Hollingworth lake there a few climbers on this section but as always we will all regroup at the top even I had to stop today on one of them heading along roads through milnrow and to smithy bridge and to the lake, at the lake there a number of of cafes and places to get drinks ice cream and cake even a meal if you want something after our stop we can if everyone wants to cycle around the lake and back to the coffee stop and then continue our ride its up to you guys, from the coffee stop its a short road ride to the canal and then its a simple ride back down that all the way to the start again no roads
