East on the C2C then we will follow cycle lanes across the Industrial land of Washington to reach Follingsby lane. We then have a steady climb up to Bowes to join the Bowes cycle track to Eighton Banks. Down hill and over the new A1 bridge back to Birtley.
No cafe stop on the ride but we will go into Dobbies on return.
Please check bikes are in good working order.
A helmet and puncture kit required and warm, dry layers to wear.
