Forty Hall and Route 12 adventure

The route starts at the Ice Cream Kiosk in Oak Hill park and proceeds along the Pymmes Brook trail. We cycle to Enfield on the boroughs well developed cycle lanes to arrive at Forty Hall. After this the ride follows NCR 12 on gravel and woodland trails mainly (sharing them with walkers and other cyclists) with a few back roads and crossings until we emerge from Trent Park. We rejoin the roads onto the north end of the Pymmes Brook to arrive back at the start point. There a few punchy hills along the way and lots to see

This is a mixed surface ride including roads, cycle paths, gravel and woodland trails.

Over 50% of this route is paths and trails. The gravel and woodland sections probably comprise more than half of this, in dry conditions they are accessible on all well maintained bikes except for the thinest of tyres.

We will stop at Forty Hall for sustenance before taking on the trails
