There are some new Adventure Gravel Routes at Coed Y Brenin, so I suggest that we mainly follow one, with perhaps some off shoots on easier singletrack or whatever is suitable on the day. This is mainly a social ride, rather than a skills/adrenaline ride! All wheels should have no reason to leave the ground on this ride - there are no jumps, or big unrollable drops.

We will do a mash up of some of the new Adventure Gravel Routes - possibly a tiny bit of easier singletrack too for those wishing to do it. This is a mountain bike ride and we could potentially move onto single track at some point if we wish to do so.

Pretty much all of it will be traffic free, mostly forest roads, perhaps a little bit of easier singletrack.

A few stops for pictures.

WHAT TO BRING - A bike in good working order and suitable for riding off road. Either a hard tail mountain bike or a full sus. Note, if you ride E-bike that's fine but please be mindful that the leader will not be on an ebike so will be slower getting up hills. If you need to hire a bike, you can hire it at CYB https://www.beicsbrenin.co.uk/shops/bike-hire/ - Helmets are compulsory please on this ride. If you don't have one you could hire from Beics Brenin. - Full fingered gloves are essential. They usually have a good selection for sale in the shop at CYB if you don't have any. - Suitable footwear - either mtb shoes or good trainers with good tread.(no open toed shoes or sandals - You may want to consider some eye protection - sunglasses would be fine. - Suitable clothes, something that you will feel comfortable in, but not baggy trousers or clothes that could get caught or snagged. Eg tracksuit bottoms would work well, layers are good. If your a regular to mtb then your regular mtb clothes. Do consider the weather, a waterproof coat is a good idea. - a small ruck sack to add in layers, snacks etc. - a drink and snacks for the ride - any necessary medication - if you are anaphylactic please bring TWO epipens, Asthma inhalers etc. - Money for coffee afterwards if you're able to stay a little longer. - a spare inner tube suitable for your tyres If you have any medical conditions , you think i need to know about, you can tell me on the day or drop me a message beforehand.
