CYCLE: St Helens Group Christmas Ride 2025

A route recently reccied by Jayne and Jane we depart the car park at Dobbies Garden Centre and head out towards Ormskirk mostly on main roads and after our refreshment break at Paloma Forest Nurseries we head back through Lathom and follow the canal to Burscough then back to our starting point in Southport.

Our 2025 Christmas Ride starting at Dobbies Garden Centre, Benthams Way, Southport, PR8 4HX and heading out to Paloma Forest Nurseries at Ormskirk via the rural lanes of West Lancashire.

Mostly on hard surfaced roads on the outward journey but the route will follow the canal path for a short stretch to Burscough.

We will visit Paloma Forest Nurseries at Holly Farm, Ormskirk Old Road, Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk for our refreshment break. Mince pie anyone!?

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required).

It is essential that everybody enjoys the ride so it will be at a gentle pace (average 9-11mph) but will be determined by the overall pace of the group. Always remember, we will never leave anyone behind!
