Hailey park to Caerphilly Castle Evening Ride

Starting from - Starting point: Hailey Park, North Car Park, at the end of Radyr Road it's by the Rugby field; if you are at the Tennis courts you are in the wrong place.
There are no toilets at the start​!

Lovely, steady ride from Hailey Park up the traffic free Taff trail through Tongwynlais and Taffs Well, (some short on-road sections) then back on the cycle route, up a steady climb and another on-road section through a residential area into Caerphilly. It's a steady undulating UPHILL there. Surface is tarmac most of the way, with tree roots / debris in places, suitable for all bicycles with the appropriate tyres.
This route is mainly all on the cycle path and some road section towards Caerphilly.
We will stop in Caerphilly for refreshments, toilet and a photo in front of the castle
Please bring money/cards if you would like to buy refreshments. Your helmet, lights, a pump and spare inner tube!
