This ride will allow us to explore some of Harrow’s rich musical heritage. Geographically, we’ll travel from Canons Park through Stanmore, Weald, Hatch End, Pinner and Harrow to Wealdstone. In time, we’ll move from 1700’s to the modern day and musical genres will include classical, Edwardian Music Hall, 1930’s dance bands, mods, glam rock, punk, a reggae legend, a British jazz icon, noughties pop, classic TV theme music and a national treasure. Something for everyone!

At just under 14 miles this is not a particularly long ride. However, we will be taking our time as we'll stop to talk about (and maybe listen to) the subjects of the ride. Think of it as a guided tour with some bike riding in between. You might want to wear dancing rather than cycling shoes!

There will be a stop at Pinner Memorial Park. Daisy’s café is available for refreshments but it can be busy so you may prefer to bring your own drink and snack.

Please note that the tour starts at Canons Park station (Jubilee Line) and ends at Harrow & Wealdstone station (Bakerloo Line/Overground). If anyone wants a guide to get back to Canons Park, please message the Ride Organiser through the “Conversation” link.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring some water. Check your bike before the ride and make sure you bring a spare innertube and tools to fix a puncture.

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
