London
HA5 4QT

Most of the route is on quiet roads, shared paths and a canal towpath. We use two short stretches on busier roads.

The outward leg includes some proper hills. These can be climbed at your own speed and we always regroup to let everyone catch their breath. Participants should be aware that we use the canal towpath between Croxley Common Moor and Cassiobury Park. Although is is very rideable, it is a little lumpy in some places and it can be muddy in others.

Refreshments will be taken at the Tea Pavilion in Cassiobury Park.

The return route is though Watford and South Oxhey. Although not pancake flat, it has considerably less climbing than the first half.

Check your bike before the ride. Bring a spare innertube and tools to fix a puncture.

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
