This route takes us to the recently opened Tea Room at Bricket Wood Station. (https://thetearoombricketwood.co.uk/). Located on the platform, this setting will allow cineastes to recreate scenes from the film Brief Encounter!

The vast majority of our riding will be on quiet roads and traffic free paths. If the weather in the run-up to the ride is dry, we may go for a bit of gentle off-roading through the Well Hall and Munden Estates on the way back. If not, we'll return via School Lane.

We'll visit an historic building in Watford. We'll pass through a site at the centre of modern building technology that also played a vital role in the development of a weapon used to devastating effect in the Second World War.

There are no lung busting hills on this route and we never leave anyone behind. We be travelling at a moderate pace (9-10mph).

Check your bike before the ride paying particular to the brakes and tyres. Bring a spare innertube, pump and tools to fix a puncture. Dress appropriately for the conditions. Bring a drink and snack (or money to purchase).

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
