From The Leggers Inn we will start out through Dewsbury to the Spen Greenway.
We will continue up the greenway until we reach the Oakenshaw turnoff and then head up Wyke Lane.
From there it will be Wyke, Scholes, Jay House Lane, Clifton and the Jo Cox Community Wood before heading back to The Leggers Inn.
Please be aware that there are quite a few hills along the way however nobody will be left behind.

This Sunday’s ride will leave the Leggers Inn in an almost a circular route which takes in the Spen Greenway before heading through the villages of Wyke & Scholes and then along Jay House Lane & Clifton. We will then head back to the Spen Greenway via the Jo Cox Community Wood. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RIDE IS OPEN TO ADULTS, 18+ ONLY. The Met Office forecast for 10:00 Sunday is currently suggesting some rain, a temperature of 6°C and winds gusting to 14 mph. Please check the forecast for yourself on Sunday morning. Please be aware that this is not a guided ride and that each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.

This ride is along greenways and public roads. We look to utilise quieter roads where possible but there are busy sections and road junctions along the way. All riders must be experienced and confident in those situations. Mountain bikes, hybrids and gravel bikes are most suited to this ride.

With the exception of short stops to re-group, or to take in points of interest along the route, there are no scheduled breaks on this ride. We may call for coffee at the Starbucks at Saville Town on the way back to the Leggers Inn.

Helmets are mandatory on all Heavy Woollen Wheelers rides. Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding.

We never leave anyone behind
