Join us for a fabulous ride to Hebden Bridge, it will be very busy but will have a brilliant vibe of people in wonderful costumes.

A mix of road, trail and towpath

Turning left out of the car park onto South Parade, then straight across the roundabout onto Shay Skye, left onto Gaukroger Lane, then left onto Shaw Lane then left onto Phoebe Lane and down the Hebble trail to the Salterhebble junction joining the Calder and Hebble Navigation to Sowerby Bridge and join The Rochdale Canal, there is a small road section to switch between to to

We will then head along the towpath to Luddenfoot where we come off the towpath for a short road section to pick up the trail that runs along the railway line, at Mytholmroyd station we will again join the road for a mix of road and trail to Hebden Bridge

Return route

Following the towpath to Friendly, we will come off at Hollins Mill Lane and join the road down to Sowerby Bridge, turn right over the river then left onto Station Road, then left onto Holmes Road, then Mearclough Road, Copley Valley Road, Hollas Lane where we rejoin the towpath back to the Salterhebble junction and head back to to Halifax, at Shey Syke we will turn left onto Hungerhill then right onto Union Street then Market Street and back to the Town Hall

There are some cobble sections at locks and a few tight sections on this route but we will take it steady

The towpath will be busy with walkers, runners, dogs and other cyclists but we will take it steady

Bring your own lunch or bring pennies for a cafe

When we return to Halifax there is an option to visit The Piece Hall
