Hemel Hempstead Graceful Greens Centenary Ride

Meeting at the benches by Woodys Cafe on Apsley Marina. This route will take in the beautiful country lanes on the edge of the chilterns. Some parts of the route are hilly, but all cake worthy hills that mean by the time we reach the cafe, you would have earned your big slab of carrot cake or lemon drizzle and cup of tea or coffee. Graceful Green rides are about stepping up the distance a bit and starting to take on hills, but as the name suggests, in a very leisurely way with no pressure and where walking up a hill is fine - in time you'll be able to ride it! : ) Graceful Greens rides will average between 15-20 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10mph. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and always wait at the top of hills so no one gets left behind. We usually stop for coffee halfway depending on the route, so come and join us for a fortnightly Friday get together! : ) Please remember to check your bike is in good working order, gears and brakes all working, and tyres pumped up. If in doubt - please get it looked at by a mechanic before the ride. Never worry about punctures on Breeze Rides - there's always enough of us to help you out should you get one. : ) However do bring two spare inner tubes for your bike, and the necessary tools.
