Holmescarr to Edlington Woods back via Anabels

From the meeting point at Holmescarr community centre we will turn right and go to Holmescarr woods and cut through to West End Lane then along shared path to IPort then along limestone trail to Wadworth. From Wadworth we will go past the church and to Wadworth Woods following a trail to the M18 underpass then through Edlington Woods to The old Edlington Pit top then along the railway path to Alverley Road Bridge and then along the railway path to Tickhill Road then along to Hallbalk Lane to Ananabel’s returning to Holmescarr via the path near to the Great Yorkshire Way then the greenway back to Rossington

Circular route avoiding roads wherever possible

The majority of route is traffic free but there is some riding through woods which may be muddy and have tree roots to avoid. Mountain bikes or hybrids recommended

We will stop at Anabel’s by the IPort lakes for refreshments

Helmets are advisable and please bring spare inner tube and tools
