Come along on this local MTB ride that maybe short but it packs a punch. If you haven't ridden in our backyard, then join us whilst we cycle around the Rivington area, taking in the landmarks that can be seen from afar.
95% of this route is traffic free but is shared with fellow walkers and their pooches. The terrain is gravel tracks, fields, rocky paths, cycle trails.
As on most of the MTB rides, the feed stop is at the end, therefore please ensure you bring along enough food/drink supplies for the ride. We will stop frequently to fuel our body en route. Toilet stops are al fresco until the end of the route also, so 3 S's again I'm afraid.
As always, no helmet no ride. Please be self sufficient and equip yourself with tools to repair your own bike if need be including spare innertubes etc. Also, ensure you have more layers than an onion as these can be peeled off. It can be pretty bleak on the moors , better to have too much than not enough. A waterproof is always a necessity too. If you wish to 'chew the fat' at the end of the ride , don't forget your pennies for the feed/coffee stop.
This may not be a long ride but it can be challenging in parts therefore a strong mind and body is recommended. Although we never leave anyone behind, please ensure this is within your capabilities.
