Hurstwood Reservoir 16
Starting from the car park by Hurstwood Hall we head towards Cant Clough Reservoir, then onto the Dukes Cut Trail working over to Gorpie Lower Reservoir picking up the Pennine Bridleway to take us to Widdop Reservoir heading back via Hameldon which brings us back to Hurstwood Reservoir and a nice bit of single track. About 16 miles

At 1.5 miles into the ride there is a small stream to cross which can be ridden then immediately afterwards a slightly gnarly climb but not technical.
At about 12 miles we come to the biggest climb which is steep and gnarly in places then the path going down to the finish is gnarly at the top but gets easier as we go down.
There's nothing really technical about this ride and descents are brilliant.

Please check the message board for this ride just in case the weather is awful.

A great route that takes in many types of terrain

Most off road, it is a MTB ride isn't it

The snack break will be on the hoof about halfway around

You need to bring a basic tool kit, spare innertube, repair kit and lunch. Dress, you need to wear a helmet and comfortable clothes that suit the weather on the day.

We especially welcome newbies!
