Jubilee ride to Parkhead

From Broompark picnic area, up the Lanchester railway lines to Lydgett Junction and then west along the Waskerley Way to Parkhead. Returning along the Waskerley Way we will continue along the C2C to Leadgate before joining roads to descend back to Langley Park and the Tailway line back to Broompark.

A celebration ride to Parkhead Station for a Jubilee Tea :)

On cycle path and quiet roads

We will be stopping at Parkhead Station for tea and cucumber sandwiches

Helmets are always advisable, as are clothing suitable for the weather forecast, gloves, buffs and warm socks. Waterproofs are always useful too. Please also carry a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump if you have them, and we all enjoy snacks. It will be a long ride, so plenty of water and sweets to keep us going.
