Keswick Railway

Come and join me for a special anniversary ride.  It will be one year since our first ever ride and this ride will be a celebration of all that is great about Breeze rides.  The three C's.  Cycling, chat and cake. We will meet by the platform of the old Keswick station for a scenic ride which takes in part of the Coast to Coast cycle path.  The ride will be along traffic free cycle ways and rural roads and the route will take us from Keswick to Threlkeld. From Threlkeld we will return along quiet country roads and part of the cycle path.  This is a 7 mile ride along mainly flat or gently undulating cycle path and quiet roads.  This ride will be suitable for mountain bikes or hybrids.   This ride will be perfect for all abilities, particularly those who are new to cycling or returning after a break.  We really welcome newcomers to our rides.   The aim of the ride is to have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well as ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. All welcome and we will not leave anyone behind . Please remember to wear warm clothing.  It is a good idea to bring a drink of water and maybe a snack plus money just in case we stop for refreshments.  A spare inner tube is also a good idea.   Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Look forward to seeing you there.
