With the Lake District having just gained UNESCO World Heritage Site status, a member of the Lake District National Park Authority team will be on hand on this ride to explain more about the World Heritage Site and why the area deserves this status. The ride explores the evocative Buttermere and its sister lake, Crummock Water, along quiet roads and bridleways with a stop in Buttermere for refreshment. The ride is a mix of on road and off-road bridleway so mountain bikes are recommended. Please note that the total ride time for this event has been extended due to the guided tour element of the ride.
