Our route takes us on country lanes to the village of Chipperfield. We will encounter some quite challenging hills and will, at times, have to ride with vehicle traffic. Our efforts will be rewarded with a great choice of confections at the Cake Shack.

Our outward journey goes through Hatch End, Northwood and Moor Park. We cross Croxley Moor before heading to Sarratt and Chipperfield. Our return leg is via Chandler's Cross, Rousebarn Lane, Holywell and Carpenders Park.

We aim to maintain a pace of 10 mph. Participants need to be able to cope with the hills and be experienced riding in traffic.

Check your bike before the ride. Bring a spare innertube, a pump and tools to fix a puncture. Make sure you have a drink and a snack (or money to purchase).

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
