We will be leaving Leigh Spinners Mill and joining the canal down to Astley, from there we go across the fields utilising the old tramway, before rejoinng the canal at The Moorings , Boothsown. We will then follow the Bridgewater Canal down to Monton before picking up the Roe Green and Tyldesley Loop lines up to Walkden then using the shared paths through Worsley Park Golf Club, Worsley Old Hall, RHS Bridgewater and then return via the Bridgewater Canal.

This route utilses canal paths, gravel tracks , tarmac loop lines and a few short stretches on main roads. It is mainly flat, so good for those wanting to extend their mileage.

We will stop at Worsley Old Hall for refreshments

You will need a helmet and appropriate clothing for the weather. Ideally you should bring cash or card if you intend to purchase refreshments, a spare inner tube, pump, basic tools and a puncture repair kit

First Timers and regular riders all welcome !
