Leitholm Loop

From Kelso past the racecourse to Ednam. We head towards Eccles but leave the main road outside Ednam to keep to the quieter roads via Kaimflat and the Blue houses. We then head out towards Leitholm and turn left just before the village to take back roads towards Hassington, passing the lovely polo pavilion on our way. We then reach Stitchill with a lovely downhill and back along the Castle walls to Kelso for a cuppa at the Knowes.

A nice route heading out Kelso to Eccles via Ednam and passing Kaimflat and the Blue Houses. Just before Leitholm we turn left and take our return route via Hassington and Stitchill.

Mainly fairly quiet roads and some busier roads out of Kelso to Ednam and crossing the A697 twice.

Opportunities along the way to stop for photos and drinks/snacks. We will plan to have coffee at the Knowes on return to Kelso.

Helmets are essential and dress for the weather. Please bring a spare inner tube for your bike and tools as well as water and snacks.
