CH5 4DS

This ride will be weather dependent, I will cancel if it looks like it will be too windy or rainy. Please arrive 15 mins before our ride so we can carry out bike checks etc.

This ride is suitable for all but the pace will be that of the slowest and is designed for those starting their cycling journey or returning to cycling.
We will be on traffic free paths and any roads will be very quiet and gentle. PLEASE NOTE that there is one busy road to cross!

This week we will be riding approximately 20 Miles on the pace of the slowest rider so that it will hopefully encourage those who have not signed up before to come and try. No speed is too slow, and this is NOT designed for the faster riders!

This week the ride will go along the Greenway for approximately 9.5 miles, where we turn back on ourselves and head towards Blacon. Here we leave the Greenway and head to Chatwins for our cafe stop. Once this is over it will be wind dependent which route we come back. Wind permitting we will head down Western Ave to Sealand Road. This we will cross carefully (it can be very busy). From here we head to Saltney Ferry and return to the start via the Riverside Path to Hawarden bridge, crossing this and retracing our route to Dock Road.

Please park considerately in the car park (opposite Yvonne's Cafe - there is additional free parking further along the road). Please note that there is a height barrier.

As a reminder this route will be wind dependent - if it is a little brisk we will return along the Greenway instead of the Riverside Path.
