This is the first Swindon Let's Ride Through Winter Event. see https://letsride.co.uk/lets-ride-through-winter to see how you joining this ride could help plant a tree. We leave signal way and make our thru the Lawns to join the cycle path that will take us to Coate Water, then continuing on an Off road track we hop over the M4 via the Curly Wurly bridge (often called the Helter Skelter) and make our way to Chisledon following some of the route of the old Swindon-Marlboro railway. At the cafe we decide whether to return via the same route or to go on an explore and return via Hodson and a couple of hills to bring us back via Broomw Manor Lane

A chance to escape from the town and grab a coffee at one of the popular out of town farm shop cafe's. This 10 mile ride is out via Coate Water and Route 45 of the National Cycle Network with the option of retracing our tyre tracks on the way back or being a bit more adventurous and returning via Broome Manor

this ride is about 50% on traffic free cycle tracks, some of which are tarmac, some not and may be a wee bit muddy

We will stop for a coffee, a cake and a chat at the popular 3 Trees Cafe in Chiseldon https://threetreesfarm.co.uk/the-cafe/

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. Please bring a face mask; you have to wear it on entering a café and in the event of first aid being required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the coffee stop. Some café’s only take card payments.

First-timers welcome!
