Pacey Purples Reclaim the Hills

A lovely pacey route with a monster of a hill thrown in. I mean its nearly Christmas, so this is my festive treat to everyone especially Jacqui our Queen of Hills. Actually, I have to reclaim Boxhill, its in my list of hills that I have dragged myself up not very gracefully earlier on this year... so now that has to be put right and you can all jolly well come and do it with me and have a bit of giggle at the same time. You all know much I love a hill (NOT !) now it has to tamed, and believe me, the mid ride coffee will be very much appreciated after this hill. Its not a long hill, and for many its not a hard hill, but a hill it is - it's not an undulation. So i'll be need some company on this ride and a sense of humor. Oh and I threw in another hill on the way home too, I've reclaimed that one already, but you'll barely notice it by then.

All non hill climbers are very welcome, the overall elevation of this ride this very modest aprox at only 550m. For you St Albans based ladies you are welcome to peel off on the way back before we return to Redbourn.

We should be back at Redbourn by 1pm at the latest, baring any punctures. :)

Mix of country lanes and a few busier linking road

Our stop will be Chipperfield Common, so rain or shine, we will at least be lovely and warm.

The weather is very un-predictable at this time of year, so layering is the way to go. Think its like waffer, lots of thin light layers is way better than one thick one.
