This is more a gravel ride than mountain bike ride so can be done on most bikes except road bikes
It is aim directly at beginners but am sure more experienced will have fun too. We can take in Philips Pump Track if people wish.
Please note, I haven't done this route since 2019 so could be interesting
Join us on this scenic route following the River Croal as it joins the River Irwell on it's journey into Manchester. Passing through no less than five different county parks, which play tribute to industrial reclamation on a grand scale, you'll gain a wealth of local knowledge along the way.
First stop is Moses Gate Country Park to see the local residents; swans, geese and heron. Continuing along the Irwell you'll have a spin round Clifton Country Park where we will stop at the visitor centre and cafe. Look out for the wild deer before you descend into Prestwich Forest Park. The trail can get muddy in places so wider tyres are the better choice.
