This is a lovely scenic ride along the River Taf and out to Swanbridge, Cosmeston Lakes Country Park and Cardiff Bay.

We will cycle down the Taf Trail, over the Millenium Bridge, climb up towards Sully Road and on, through the lanes, to Swanbridge, stopping there to take a view of the sea, before heading on to Cosmeston Lakes for a coffee/snack stop. We'll stop there for 30 mins; toilets are available.
We'll then connect with the cycle path running along the old railway line back towards Penarth, descending the Penarth 'wiggles', on to the Cardiff Bay barrage and make our way back to Pedal Power via the Taf trail.

The ride is a mix of trails and country lanes, with a few steady but challenging climbs/descents. The lanes can also become a bit busy at times, so please only sign up if you are confident on these roads and using your gears/brakes.

Please bring money/cards if you would like to buy refreshments.

It is recommended to wear a helmet, also bring a spare inner tube and tools to change it if you have them, and a bike lock and consider a suitable mask and sanitiser for the coffee stop if you want to go inside the cafe.

Please do not sign up for the ride if you feel unwell or are showing symptoms of Covid-19 or have tested positive in the last 14 days.
