This route is suitable for any woman who cycles occasionally and would like to build her confidence and learn local cycling-friendly routes.
The route is mainly bridle paths and cycle paths. with a few short road section
For the safety and enjoyment of all riders please do not pass the leader, watch you don't cross wheels or follow to close, especially downhill sections. Please repeat any warnings given (bollards etc.) shout out stopping if you stop suddenly. check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of the route mileage. Please make sure your bike is in working condition. before the start of the ride and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres and/or a puncture repair kit. The leaders can assist with a puncture. but only if you have the correct size inner tube with you.
We aim to stop for a coffee in Ponteland.
