Starting point

Wiltshire
SN3 6EX

We will follow cycle paths up through Dorcan to get us to the County Ground, then a quiet road route following the NCN signs to get to near the station where we pick up the Western Flyer passing by the west side of the Oasis. At Barnfield we take the old railway path which will get us to Moulden Hill. After collecting riders there it's a track to the Pry, and then Collins Lane and over the level crossing into Purton where we have the only real climb of the day to get to our coffee stop. Our route back includes some variation as we tend to be on a more southerly route finally looping back to Liden via the Dorcan Round and GWH

Join us for a gentle virtually flat ride across Swindon as we make our way to Purton. You can join us at Liden, or we can pick you up en-route at the entrance to Foundation Park (W3W ///horn.closer.deed eta 10.20), the cycle path near the oasis (w3W ///gaps.toned.tennis eta 10.30 ) or Moulden Hill (W3W ///develop.chariots.clouds eta 10.50). If you want to join at a pick up point sign up for a ride and use the message facility for the ride to tell us where you will be joining

we will be using a mix of traffic free paths, a level crossing, and country lanes

Our coffee stop will be PIPS community cafe in Purton

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. Govt Guidance means face masks are no longer mandatory but we would ask you to bring a face mask as first aid may be required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted-on then a spanner that fits the wheel nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the refreshment stop. Some place’s only take card payments.

We never leave anyone behind
