Pottering around Potten End

The route goes through some residential areas of Hemel Hempstead, then out to the village of Potten End and also into the lovely wooded areas of Ashridge. There are some inclines and some nice downhill stretches and we will use some local cycle paths. This ride will provide a good opportunity for those who haven't ridden for a while to get started again and for those wanting to go a little further if they have just been riding locally.
We never leave anyone behind and should anyone need to walk any uphill sections, that is fine.

Riding up through Boxmoor, Gadebridge, Potten End to Frithsden and then returning on a circular route.

We'll start on quiet residential roads, then use mostly quiet roads which have light to moderate traffic.

No stops are planned, but there is a village shop in Potten End where we can but refreshments if the group would like to do so.

Please wear a helmet and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Ensure that your bike is in going working order and that you carry a spare inner tube in case of a puncture. Bring some money in case we decide to stop for refreshments in Potten End.
