This could have been Around the World on 80 minutes as we will circumnavigate Durham before completing our journey with a stop off at Durham Cathedral to take in the sights of Gaia. Thursdays are ‘Gaia Lates’ when you can visit the installation on an evening (no cost) with the giant globe glowing in the evening light.

We will pedal a circuit around the west and northern sides of the city on cycle paths and quiet residential roads before our visit to the Cathedral. It’s all paved routes so any bike will do the job.

Please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions as we can never be quite sure what to expect.

In order for the ride to leave promptly, please be punctual so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Make sure your bike is in working condition and bring a spare tube to fit your tyres. We should be out cycling for about an hour and a half plus the stop off at the Cathedral.
