A very popular route of many riders - a picturesque 50 miles route at STEADY pace from Newcastle through Newburn, Throckley, Ponteland, Ogle, Whalton, Bolam before coffee stop at Blacksmiths cafe at Belsay then across to Black Heddon and Stamfordham. This is where the route splits as those in a hurry can head directly back and the rest of us will climb out of Stamfordham before crossing the military road by the reservoirs and dropping down to tranquil Bywell and return to start point along the Tyne valley floor. - I'll end up back in Pedalling Squares in Swalwellfor a post ride latte etc. The route will be led by a qualified sky ride leader but is a ride social so you are responsible for our own safety and maintenance . Hope you can join us Nigel Bradley
