We will visit a few artists exhibiting (and selling) their work in their own studios at The Stables (which has several artists sharing the space). Paintings, woodturning, ceramics, jewellery…there’ll be something for everyone. There’s no obligation at all to purchase, but you might like to snap up a festive gift that’ll fit in your bike bag. They were extremely welcoming when we turned up for Harrow Open Studios (https://www.harrowopenstudios.com/) in June and for the Xmas Fayre last year they produced mulled wine and mince pies...

We'll use quiet local roads and parks except for crossing the Uxbridge Road, which we'll probably do on foot. The path we take through the farm is not suitable for road bikes.

We’ll stop for tea at the friendly Parklife cafe in Boxtree Park, before returning to the Moat Cafe.

Check your bike before the ride, especially tyre pressure and brakes. Bring a spare innertube (check it's the correct size), a pump and tools to repair a puncture. Bring some money for possible purchases and for tea. A helmet and lock would be good.
